Founder & Mission

Meet Samra Ayele

Founder of Habesha Hub

My connection to the community

I am originally from Ethiopia and now live in Ohio. My Ethiopian heritage, faith, family and community remain an important part of my life. I created Habesha Hub because finding Ethiopian and Habesha businesses, churches, professionals, community organizations and practical resources should not require searching through many disconnected places.

As a father and an Ethiopian Orthodox Christian, I also understand the importance of helping the next generation stay connected to community, culture and faith.

My professional background

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity from Franklin University, where I graduated Summa Cum Laude, and an Associate Degree in Natural Science from Columbus State Community College. My professional background combines operational excellence, process improvement, technology and cybersecurity.

I bring that same focus on organization, accuracy, continuous improvement and responsible use of information to the development of Habesha Hub.

Why I built Habesha Hub

A practical community resource

My goal is to build a useful nationwide starting point where Ethiopian and Habesha communities can discover resources, see where listing information came from, suggest corrections and help improve the directory over time.

Habesha Hub is an independent community project. It is not operated by or affiliated with the U.S. government, the Ethiopian government, or the businesses and organizations listed in the directory. A listing is not an endorsement, and important information should always be independently confirmed.
