Habesha Hub policy

Housing Safety

Effective September 29, 2026

Before contacting a poster

Housing posts change quickly and Habesha Hub does not inspect properties, verify ownership, act as a broker, collect rent or deposits, or participate in rental agreements.

Protect yourself

Do not send money before independently verifying the property and the person offering it. Be especially cautious about requests for wire transfers, gift cards, cryptocurrency, unusual urgency, remote-only landlords or payment before a viewing.

Privacy

Habesha Hub does not publish private residential street addresses in housing posts. Submit only a general neighborhood or area and a contact method you are comfortable making public.

Fair housing

Housing submissions must not contain discriminatory preferences or restrictions prohibited by applicable fair-housing law. Users should consult HUD and appropriate state or local agencies for authoritative fair-housing information.

Report problems

Report suspected scams, unavailable housing, discriminatory content, impersonation or unsafe posts through the correction/contact process so the listing can be reviewed.
